Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency/Empower Upper Cumberland has an opening for a Program Specialist. This position serves as a Departmental Floater on a wide range of tasks within the Empower Department and is cross-trained on all Specialist and Navigator duties. This position assists with tasks as assigned by the Navigator Manager and Director, providing additional support where ever needed.
Duties include:
- Developing a thorough understanding and ability to carry out
- Developing a thorough understanding and ability to carry out
- Navigator duties and responsibilities. (Full and light)
- Developing a thorough understanding and ability to carry out Specialist duties and responsibilities. (Circles, data, and collaboration)
- Assisting with projects as trained on and assigned
- Covering staff’s responsibilities in their absence and attending meetings as assigned
- Entering data and reports for the management team when not on special assignment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor, director, and executive director
Qualifications:
- A basic understanding of the current human and workforce services systems
- Ability to process and understand agency policies and procedures
- Proficiency in computer applications to enter data, run reports, and process payments
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills
- Great flexibility and accountability
- Excellent time management
- Ability to work independently and as a team
The successful applicant will possess an associate’s degree, former case management experience (preferred), and direct experience working in or utilizing the human services system (preferred).
